Cosimo Maria Masini: A Boutique Biodynamic Winery in San Miniato

Located in the picturesque hills of San Miniato, Cosimo Maria Masini is a boutique biodynamic winery that beautifully blends tradition with innovation. Nestled between Florence and Pisa, our estate is part of the historic Via Francigena, a route that has connected Canterbury to Rome for centuries. San Miniato is renowned for its exquisite white truffles and exceptional local wines, attracting food enthusiasts from around the globe.

A Rich Tapestry of Vineyards and Olive Groves

Our estate spans 15 hectares of vineyards and nearly 7 hectares of olive groves. We cultivate a variety of indigenous Tuscan grapes, including Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Trebbiano, Vermentino, and the rare Sanforte. Additionally, we grow international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Sauvignon Blanc, ensuring a diverse selection of wines that reflect the unique terroir of Tuscany.

Wine, Olive Oil, and Culinary Experiences Await

At Cosimo Maria Masini, we produce high-quality wines and extra virgin olive oil while offering enriching culinary experiences. Join us for a guided wine tour to learn about our biodynamic practices, stroll through our sun-drenched vineyards, and enjoy a tasting session paired with a light lunch. For those seeking a unique experience, we also provide truffle hunting excursions led by a professional truffle hunter and his trained dog, allowing you to uncover the treasures of the Tuscan landscape.

We stumbled on this beautiful place on the way to Pisa from Florence. We were given a personal tour, wine tasting, and food samples, even though they had 2 bus loads of people. They were so kind and accommodating to us, and the wine and snacks were out of this world! The white wine was the best out of the 3 we tried! The information on our tour was so interesting as well. So glad to have found this gem! Highly recommend.

Gorgeous views and thorough tour. We stopped here on our way to Pisa from Florence and learned a lot about the local grapes and special wine of this region. We tasted 3 different wines, ate bread with local cheese and olive oil. My 4 year old loved the dogs on site too. This is a quieter winery and with great service.

Lovely biodynamic winery near the truffle capital of San Miniato offering great wine tasting lunch (come hungry) and a tour of the grounds and its cellar. English-speaking and pet-friendly.
