Darcie Kent Vineyards is a fifth-generation, family-owned winery located in the Livermore Valley. Over the Bridge from the San Francisco Bay, tucked away in the rolling hills of the East Bay, Darcie Kent crafts delicate wines from their sustainably farmed vines. Darcie Kent along with Julian Halasz, a Hungarian-born winemaker, work together to produce limited, single-vineyard wines from their Monterey and Livermore vineyards.

Darcie Kent Vineyards wines are sold in many restaurants nationwide as well as at their estate.

Darcie Kent is a fifth-generation artist and winemaker. Darcie’s great grandfather moved from Switzerland to America in 1875 to make a career in winemaking. His Alpine Winery lasted till 1945, after which he was forced to close his production. In 2013, Darcie, along with her husband, David, and daughters, Amanda and Kailyn, bought the estate vineyard and winery and began its renovation. Today, they produce wines in their state-of-the-art winery with all modern machines and winemaking equipment. She uses her original artwork on the labels of her wines and tries to show the spirit of their vineyards in each of the beautiful labels.

Darcie Kent Vineyards sources grapes from the best grape producers in the Livermore Valley and nearby areas. There are low yields in many of these vineyards allowing very high-quality fruit with great concentration and complexity to be produced. Darcie Kent is amongst the top producers in the Livermore area creating excellently crafted wines that express the local terroir. The winery uses a large range of grape varieties including Chardonnay, Grüner Veltliner, Sauvignon Blanc, Malbec, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Petit Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Zinfandel. The best grapes go into the production of high quality red, white, sparkling, rosé, dessert, and fortified wines.
