The De Martino family, originally from Italy, settled in Chile in 1934, establishing a winery that specializes in Bordeaux grape varieties. De Martino Winery was the first to export and label Chilean Carmenere, and it has pioneered traditional winemaking techniques in the Itata Valley, reviving age-old practices.

Organic Winemaking for Balanced Flavors

De Martino Winery adheres to organic principles in its wine production, emphasizing timely harvesting to achieve balanced flavors. The wines are fermented using native yeasts, avoiding additives that could compromise the grapes' natural character. Aging occurs in stainless steel, concrete, and large foudres, as well as used barriques that are around ten years old, allowing the true essence of the wine to shine through.
