I only recently learned about Denis Morte in the past four to five years, and my knowledge of Gevrey-Chambertin is long, but my wine journey, which started with Leroy, has been around for about 40 years. The first time I drank Denis Morte, I drank an ordinary Bourgogne Rouge and was speechless...I immediately searched for Gevrey Chambertin and got it, and since then, several years have passed each time the vintage has changed, and now there are three vintages. I have Gevrey Chambertin in stock at my home and restaurant. I don't know the general history of the current owner, but the wine produced by this young man is truly sincere. In the 1980s and 1990s, I discovered Leroy's high-quality wines and, of course, all the varieties of Romanée-Conti, which made me realize the deep enjoyment of wine, but today's Denis, although still young, has a lot of vibrancy. has stirred my passion once again and has become one of the domaines that I look forward to seeing in the future. I dream of the land of Burgundy that I have yet to see while looking at a map and surrendering myself to the spirit of alcohol. Denis Morte is the wine that gives me such wings. Currently, the reputation of Denis Morte is skyrocketing in Japan. It wasn't that bad three or four years ago, but when I first started buying it, it seemed like there was still a lot left, but now they can add more when they run out. It is difficult to get stock at all ~ Doni's evaluation On the other hand, the reputation of the plain type like Charlotpin is still so-so, but I think that both of them are making wines that will lead the future of Burgundy ~ 50 years of wine history I am~ I bought 6 bottles of 15 year old Gevrey Chambertin, Cinq Terroir, etc. Of course, after I learned about this Denis, I started buying them in 2013. I bought the same amount and variety in 2014 and 2015. I tasted them and still have them in stock. However, 15 is the best of the wines, and has the most gorgeousness and liveliness. The quality is so good that I am convinced that the wine that will succeed or follow Jayer will be He Denis. I feel something else rational about Duka though~
