Giró Ribot is a family-owned winery with a rich heritage and a global outlook. For generations, the family has prioritized quality and authenticity in their wines and cavas. Their roots in the Penedès region run deep, with a history of producing exceptional wines, cavas, and spirits. The current generation focuses on crafting liqueurs and spirits that reflect the unique essence of their land.
Located in the heart of the Penedès Denomination of Origin, Giró Ribot benefits from a prime geographical setting. This picturesque area of Catalonia lies between Barcelona and Tarragona, bordered by the Mediterranean Sea to the south and the stunning Montserrat massif to the north. The region's climate is ideal for vineyard cultivation, with the Montserrat massif shielding it from cold northern winds and the sea moderating temperatures. Winters are mild, summers are pleasantly warm, and rainfall is limited, creating perfect conditions for grape growing.
In August, the winery begins monitoring grape maturity across its 100 hectares of vineyards, which feature local varieties like Macabeo, Xarel·lo, and Parellada, as well as international favorites such as Chardonnay and Muscat. All grapes are hand-harvested and promptly transported to the winery. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, Giró Ribot employs advanced pressing methods that ensure the extraction of high-quality free-run juice, resulting in wines that truly represent the character of the Penedès region.

The visit to the Giró Ribot wineries was fantastic. Adri, our guide, took us to see every corner with great passion and knowledge about their wines and cavas. The tasting at the end was the perfect closing: we tasted several of their creations, all of great quality. An unforgettable experience and highly recommended.

We went as a couple on Friday, Oct. 18. Adrian welcomed us and, together with another couple, gave us a very interesting tour about the production of wines and cavas. It was a very pleasant experience, Adrian offers an environment where you feel relaxed and comfortable. I would return again for another event in that beautiful space. The only thing I would recommend and that I was looking forward to was a short tour of the natural outdoor spaces of the farmhouse, the landscape and the vines. For everything else, thank you!

We visited Giró Ribot for a Wonderbox experience and we recommend it to everyone. Guided by Adriá, who made the visit enjoyable, fun and very instructive, we learned about the entire cava creation process and its ins and outs and we did a tasting of spectacular cava and white wine. And on top of that we took some bottles as gifts.
