Hart of the Barossa is a family-owned artisan wine brand founded by vintners Alisa and Michael Hart. Established in 1902, the Hart block is recognized as the oldest certified organic vineyard in the Barossa Valley.

Our motto, "Brave and Faithful," reflects the spirit of our ancestors who arrived in South Australia in 1845, driven by dreams of cultivating a fruitful life on this land.

From Grape to Glass

At Hart of the Barossa, nurturing our organic vineyard is a family affair. Many of our farming practices are still done by hand, ensuring a personal touch. Our commitment to the vines and the environment yields intensely flavored fruit, true to nature's design. Each bottle of Hart family wine showcases the unique character and heritage of our land.

Organic Viticulture and Distinct Terroir

Our philosophy centers on sustainable farming practices, allowing future generations to continue the tradition of grape growing. We aim to produce bold and authentic wines from the purest grapes, benefiting both the environment and our health.

It's what we don't do that makes the difference.

Hart of the Barossa's certified organic wines are crafted without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, or artificial fertilizers. We cultivate biologically active organic soils to create a pure, distinctive, and flavorful product that reflects the beautiful Barossa terroir, free from synthetic chemicals.

Absolutely wonderful experience. We did not grab the ladies name but she was extremely well versed and had an extremely in depth understanding of their wine. The wines themselves were very "Barossa". Heavy, punchy and very rich in flavour. This will definitely become a fan favourite
