Nota Giuliano Winery, Close to the Truffle Area of Alba
Amidst charming views of the unspoiled nature, Nota Giuliano is situated in the heart of the rolling hills of Monticello d’Alba, a scenic town short drive away from Alba del Roero. The company comprises of several vineyards in Monticello region, excluding the one that is located in La Morra, dedicated for the production of unique Barolo grapes.
A True Family Story
Founded by Antonio Nota, the grandfather of the current owner, the Nota Giulian Winery is a small family-run business, producing luscious wines since 1960. Later his son Giuliano, along with his wife – Aidid, expanded the winemaking business and introduced various modern technologies in the winery. The expert oenologists – Fabrizio and Massimo closely watch all the wine production process to produce top-notch wines, such as red wines and white wines, along with flavorsome sparkling and dessert wines. Giuliano’s daughter – Serena, has also joined the family business and helping her parents in managing the commercial aspect of the winery.
The Winery, Nestled between Chestnut and Pine Groves
Surrounded by charming countryside, decorated naturally with chestnut and pine groves, the vineyards grow a vast array of grapes. It includes top-variety Dolcetto, Barbera, and Nebbiolo, clubbed with high-end Arneis, Favorita, and Moscato. For over 50 years the Nota Family has been introducing many changes to the Casa Comerci Winery, creating improvements wherever possible. Crutin Nicolai, the underground cellar of Nota Giuliano has undergone renovation as well, maintaining its historical sculpture. Giuliano has equipped the cellar with automated temperature controlling stainless steel tanks for effective fermentation. Crutin Nicolai, excavated into the tuff 12 meters deep, consists of five large rooms that are enhanced with valuable decorations.
