Tenuta Vignega is a wine from Verona, one of the the three estates under the Cristiana Collections
Tenuta Vignega Carries Forward History
As with the name Tenuta Vignenga, the name Vignega is dedicated to the locality of which it is in. If we glance back to the history of the winery, it actually belonged to the noble family of counts Serego Aligheiri. Who were direct descendants of Dante. The farm was later purchased by the Bolla family. Since then several changes were made to the land for organic cultivation.
An Organic To The Core Winery
Tenuta Vignenga has a vision for the future, which is why its sticks to its organic wine belief. The vineyards of the winery are at 140 m above sea level and the soil here consist of gravelly skeleton with a rocky substrate of limestone origin. The vines get their nutrients from here. The climate is mild and dry and just about perfect for vinification. Corvina , Corvinone, Spigamonti grape varieties are grown here. Since 1999, Tenuta Vignenga has followed organic farming methods certified by BIOS.
Skilled Winemaking at its Finest
The winery has increasingly made radical changes to its management and system in order to incorporate natural ways and be respectful to the environment. The cellars are a stone farmhouse on the estates with barrels and barriques that have kept the wines safe and full of flavor.
