Tasting Veneto in Style
How much do you know about Valpolicella? It doesn't matter where you are from, I'm sure you can easily find a good bottle of "Valpo" in your country. In fact Valpolicella/Amarone are one the most famous Italian red wines (after Barolo and Chianti).
But have you known that, due to area of production and sun exposion, there are different shades of Valpolicella?
In this tour will visit 3 wineries: Monte Castelon, Corte Canella and Vicentini Agostino.
Our tour will start at 10 AM from Monte Castellon. Small family-run winery established in the heart of Valpolicella classico area 3 years ago.
We'll taste 4 Valpolicella/Amarone. Their wines are light in alcohol, easy to drink, elegant. Similar to the best Bourgogne (I'm not joking!)
Then we'll stop in Valpolicella for a lunch and visit some vineyards.
The second winery will be Corte Canella, situated in DOC area - Illasi, Verona.
Here we'll visit vineyards and taste 3 Valpolicella/Amarone. Their wines are powerfull. Full. An explosion of cocoa and tomaco notes.
The third winery is located 10 min from Corte Canella - Vicentini Agostino (Colognola ai Colli, Verona). Here will taste 3 different Valpolicella (they do not produce Amarone - they will explain you why:)). Their wines are medium to full bodied. Middle way between first two wineries: more fruity, still elegant, less alcohol.
Costs:
- Monte Castelon - still to define
- Corte Canella - 30€ per person (included tasting of cured meat and cheeses)
- Vicentini Agostino - 25€ per person
If you are a fan of Valpolicella this tour deserves your time!
In case the group is of 4 or less people the trasport is included.
