Sandro Minella 

 Born in Turin, Italy, Sandro started his career as a guide in natural parks, but in 2002 his passion for food and wine culture drove him to New York, where he worked as an Italian wines consultant for important restaurants and wine shops. During his two-years experience in USA, after seeing a  growing interest for Piedmont wines and gastronomy among wine lovers, he started organizing food and wine tours to his native land.

The success of these tours lead him to relocate to the Langhe, where he started organizing and leading tours, tastings, cooking and wine experiences for professionals, journalists, tour operators, foodies and wine lovers from all over the world, combining a professional approach with the passion of an insider.

After a few years he started to put his diverse skills and experiences at disposal of the local producers and the territory, collaborating with important wineries of the Barolo and Barbaresco area, and several trade organizations such as Consorzio i Vini del Piemonte, Strada del Barolo and Accademia del Barolo. His different missions included:  organization and conduction of wine tastings and masterclasses in Piedmont and during fairs and BtoB events around the world,  press tours,  PR activities with importers, video and multimedia productions.

Author of “The World of Wine in Piemonte”, published by Lina Brun in 2011, Sandro is also producer and conductor of live cooking shows with Italian and international Michelin Star chefs during Alba International Truffle Fair.

For his great  commitment with the promotion of the Langhe, the local authorities have recently granted him with the honorary title of “Knight of the Truffle and the Wines of Alba”, recognizing him as an ambassador of the great local food and wine traditions.

Sandro is a licensed tour guide, FISAR professional sommelier, expert taster at ONAV (National Organization of Wine Tasters) and ONAB (National Organization of Beer Tasters).
