Guided tour of Vorau Abbey and the HERRENHOF EXTENDED

During this tasting, we will once again guide you through the vineyards, through the wine production areas, through the barrel cellar and finally we will find ourselves in the historic wine cellar for the tasting. Get ready for 10 wines, a rarity if you wish, and bread. Allow at least three hours, as this tour and tasting is much more in-depth.

A hidden gem. A young and ambitious winemaker produces organic wines. Rooms are also available for celebrations. All kinds of top-quality drinks from the winery's own production can be consumed there, and food can be ordered via catering. The revitalized cellar rooms have something indescribable. A tip for anyone looking for a special atmosphere.

I wanted to enjoy really good wine again and I had heard a lot of good things about this winery beforehand. I quickly called the estate and the winemaker really had time for me, gave me a tour and introduced me to his world of wine. Of course, as I wished, I took some good drinks with me. I didn't regret it, thanks for the hospitality. I'll be back.

Unique 100% organic winery that is a must see/taste. The Pinot Gris and the Mixed Set stood out for me. What is particularly noteworthy is that, compared to other wineries, the Herrenhof has bred over 50 varieties (some of them very rare). For Gottfried, sustainability is not a fashion term but rather a lived practice, far away from nonsense and esoteric hype. 100% recommendation. Insider tip: be sure to announce your arrival before visiting the farm.

A beautiful place, very good wine, the owner is incredibly friendly and authentic. Wine is made here with love and a great philosophy. The tour with tasting is highly recommended. We will definitely come back.
