E90 goes through the Macedonia wine region too and can be joined by the highways E86 and E75.

Following the E90 highway, you can travel in the Thessaly and Epirus wine regions and experience some of the best wine tastings and tours in Greece.

The Central Greece region is connected by the international roads numbered as: E65, E952, or E75. The same roads connect the Central Greece to the rest of the country.

Road 8 will take you from Athens to Kiato, in the Peloponnese wine region. From there by the highways E65 and E55 most of the region can be covered.

Wineries in Crete can be reached by highways E75 and 90.

How can I travel to Greece by train?

The train system in Greece is not the best and covers a very limited area of the country.

However, to visit enjoy some wine tastings and tours in Greece, near Athens, the Macedonia wine region, the Thessaly wine region, or the Peloponnese wine region, the local railway system might be useful.

There are 2 main lines that connect Athens to Thessaloniki (through Thessaly), and Athens to Kiato.
