High-end Wine Appreciated Around the World
Between the charms of Langhe and Monferrato, in the province of Cuneo, there resides an ancient winery – Azienda Agricola Caudrina, located in Castiglione Tinella, Piedmont. Generation after generation, the Dogliotti family has been distributing high-end wines all around the world, out of which the flagship Moscato D’Asti is well-known.
Unmatched Passion and Skills for Generations
The story of the Caudrina Winery took the plunge in the 1940s by Redento Dogliotti and gave new life to the Muscat grapes. Following his father’s footsteps, Redento’s son Romano acquired the winery in the late 70s. Under his ownership, many renowned wines came into being, including La Galesia (1989), La Selvatica (1993), along with several other red, white, and sparkling wines. Today, Romano’s sons actively take part in the family business. Alessandro is a lively winemaker, whereas Sergio and Marco work in the vineyards.
Savory Wines That Reflects the Area
Romano has kept himself tied to the family’s viticulture traditions but a sheer openness to state-of-the-art technologies. Respecting the nature and fertility of terroirs, the Caudrina Winery cultivates a vast array of grapes with no chemicals involved. The family grows excellent Moscato, Spumante, Barbera, and Nizza, beautifully mixed up with fruity Nebbiolo, Chardonnay, and Dolcetto. Only manual activities are allowed in the vineyards.
In the cellar, a blend of innovation and conventional methods is vivid. Modern stainless steel tanks, wooden oak barrels, and barriques are used for active aging and refining of grains. One can have the pleasures of tasting world-class red and white wines, paired with sparkling and dessert wines.
