A Historic Winery in Spain's Highest Wine Region
Bodegas Navaltallar crafts all-natural wines in the highest wine region of Europe, steeped in rich history.
Located in Navalilla, Segovia, Bodegas Navaltallar stands in a region where winemaking has deep roots. Historical records from the reign of King Alfonso VII in the 12th century highlight the area's long-standing wine tradition, which inspired the establishment of this winery.
Exceptional Climate and Soil
The unique climate and soil of Castilla y León contribute to the winery's exceptional wines. Situated at 920 meters above sea level, this region is the highest wine-producing area in Europe. The winery's ten hectares of vineyards benefit from careful water management and vineyard structure, allowing Tempranillo grapes to reach optimal ripeness.
Commitment to Quality
Bodegas Navaltallar is dedicated to producing all-natural wines with authentic acidity. Unlike many wineries, they do not use acidification, resulting in natural red wines with an alcohol content of 14%. The wines are aged in 120 barrels of French and American oak, enhancing their aromas and flavors. Each year, the winery produces around 40,000 bottles, ensuring that quality remains their top priority.
