Founded in 1833 by Vincenzo Florio, the Florio Cellars in Marsala overlook the sea of western Sicily. Enveloped by the energy of the winds and made savory by the sea, the beautiful and silent cellars house the oak barrels where Florio Marsala wines age in seemingly motionless movement. Hundreds of barrels, vats, and casks, each with its own story, breathe in the sea through the tuff floor. In this unique place, our winemaker, through the skillful use of space, time, and oxygen, creates Marsala in its many organoleptic forms.

Today, the cellars welcome over 50,000 visitors every year who come to discover the origins of Marsala wine and the Florio family, on an emotional and sensory journey among hundreds of barrels and giant vats where the aromas of wood and wine blend with tangy marine and spicy notes that enchant us even before tasting. A wide range of options have been created for an increasingly demanding audience who want to learn about the versatility of Marsala and its various food pairings. An experience at the Florio Cellars is not just a visit, it is an encounter with the history, culture, and authentic taste of Sicily, a memory that remains impressed in the soul.

Our winery offers tailor-made experiences designed for those who want to enjoy the world of wine in an exclusive way. A journey through time in which wine becomes a voice and a story. Each visit is a unique experience, an encounter with the history, culture, and authentic taste of Sicily. The various tasting options and the possibility of creating unexpected food and wine itineraries make the wine journey exclusive and unforgettable.

The Donna Franca and Vincenzo Florio tasting rooms are born from a new conception of the winery space and from an evolved vision of tasting that, from a moment of pleasure, becomes a suggestive and theatrical experience that engages all the senses by stimulating them with colors, sounds and smells.

We were able to join the wine tour (1 hour) at 10:00 AM without a reservation. The tour included lots of interesting information in English, and afterwards we tasted three wines (mostly sweet wines). Everything was perfect for me; it was the ideal outing for a rainy day.

I will remember the memory of Cantine Florio for a long time. It’s a gem. Though I don’t understand Italian, the guider was passionate about the story of Florio family and the winery.

This was a wonderful tour -- our guide was impressively superb. I learned alot about the history of the building, brand, climate conditions, and wine making process. The stroll through the vats was informative and engaging but at a relaxing pace and perfect pitch. Highly recommend!

An unmissable experience in one of western Sicily's most iconic and historic locations, every detail reflecting the unique Florio saga. The description of the traditional and contemporary winemaking techniques, both highly refined and complex, to produce the finest Marsala DOC wines is impressive and extremely interesting. Equally impressive are the enormous cellars housing 6 million liters of Marsala of various types and varying degrees of maturation. The tasting was excellent, and the passionate description and narration by the talented tour leader were certainly noteworthy. The wine cellar also matched the perceived excellence. An exhilarating experience, if you hadn't already guessed...
