Cascina I Carpini is a family-run winery that was set up in 1998. The owners had the dream and aim to produce quality wines using natural processes respecting the vision of life. When the owners bought the estate, there were meadows, forests, wildlife, and vine-growing conditions already present at the place. After many years of hard work and passion, the winery produces wines by using traditional methods along with modern techniques.
The winery is present in the Piedmont region near the Tortona Hills. There is a view that stretches between hills of orchards and vineyards, and there is a panoramic view from the Ligurian Sea to the Monviso. The climate of the region is perfect for vine cultivation. There is rainfall almost all year, and the winters are freezing. There is a big difference in temperature between day and night that ripens the grape fully. The vineyards are present in the region of San Lorenzo of the Pozzol Groppo. The vines grow good because of nature. Sunlight and ventilation are perfect for cultivation. Almost six thousand vines are planted per hectare that limits the production, and only the grapes with the best quality come through.
The winemakers handpick the best grapes and send it to the winery for vinification. After that, they perform the destemming process to separate the stems. They carefully look at the fermentation process at controlled temperatures so that the quality of their wines is high. At last ageing of the wine goes through in semi-underground cellars. This is how they produce their famous red and white wines.
