Azienda Agricola Innocenti: From the Earth to the Bottle
A small Italian family-owned winery is located in Tuscany, in the land of genuine red wine. It can be found on the hill, 350 meters above sea level in the Citille di Sotto area – in Montalcino. This city has a lot of medieval structures (fortresses, abbeys, churches) that serve a symbol of the importance of the city since it was founded back in Etruscan times. The winery is run by 2 brothers – Gianni and Massimo who keep family traditions of winemaking since the first vines were planted here in 1960s.
The Excellent Wines from Montalcino
As any other winery in the region, Azienda Agricola Innocenti speciality is red wines. 7 hectares of vineyards are dominated by the major Tuscany grape varietal – Sangiovese. It is used for production of the winery’s flagman intense red wines: Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino. The other varietals grown here are international Merlot and Cabernet. The wines produced from these wines are labeled under Toscana IGT. The excellence of wines is reached due to high controls of production, special techniques of vinification, and clayey-sandy soil.
A Winning Award Winery
Azienda Agricola Innocenti wines have received the appraisals from the internationally recognised wine critiques. James Sucking gave 95 out of 100 points to Innocenti Brunnelo di Montalcino Reserva underlining a great mix of classical elegance and creaminess on the palate.
