Led by passionate winemaker Jasper Raats and his wife Sally, Longridge is dedicated to organic viticulture, producing a range of internationally-acclaimed wines. Their mission is simple: to create wines that are healthy, natural, and of the highest quality.
At Longridge Wine Estate, sustainability is at the forefront of their winemaking practices. The estate employs ecological methods to protect the environment and maintain the health of their vineyards. All vines, vegetables, and herbs flourish without the use of chemical fertilizers or pesticides. Geese roam freely among the vines, naturally controlling pests and enriching the soil. Spanning 50 hectares, with half dedicated to vineyards, Longridge is committed to preserving the land for future generations.
The estate cultivates a variety of grapes, including Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinotage, and Cabernet Franc. These high-quality grapes are the foundation for their exceptional red, white, rosé, sparkling, and dessert wines. With a focus on minimal intervention during the winemaking process, Longridge wines maintain their authentic fruity flavors while developing a delightful aroma and structure.

We celebrated a belated 50th birthday of a family member yesterday with lunch for 13 at Ryksaart’s Restaurant. The venue is stunning and the food superb. We loved the way we could help ourselves from platters of starters and then the Main Course which were brought to the table. The service was excellent. Can really recommend it for a special family occasion.

Stunning wines! We loved the Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc and Pinot Noir. Truly unique on the palate. The restaurant was amazing and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. True South African hospitality. You can’t beat it!

My husband and I went for lunch. This is a beautiful wine estate. I live in Somerset West and sadly this is the first time I've been here. But now that I know, I can see it becoming a favourite! The gardens are so lovely, with raised vegetable beds, and an incredible view. We dined Alfresco under a lovely shady tree and Nash was the best waiter. I brought my own glutenfree bun with as we knew we were going to have the burger and chips. The flavours of that beef patty! So good! I could taste the coriander and cumin. Excellent live music to accompany our food and we bought a bottle of The Emily Cuvée rose which is in itself out of this world. I cannot fault the service, ambience, venue, view, wine or food. It was all amazing.
