At Shumi Winery, you can learn about the rich history of winemaking in Georgia, particularly the traditional Qvevri method that sets Georgian wines apart. This premium wine tasting experience allows you to sample four to six exceptional wines, showcasing the unique flavors of the region. In addition to the tasting, guests can visit the Shumi Wine Museum and browse the wine shop, which features exclusive products like the renowned Genesis wine, crafted from grapes sourced from a 300-year-old vine.
The tasting session includes four distinct types of wine: Mtsvane (white dry wine), Mtsvane Qvevri (orange dry wine), Saperavi (red dry wine), and Saperavi Qvevri (red dry wine). Each wine is paired with a delightful selection of appetizers, including Hmiadi, Guda cheese (made from cow’s milk), “Tsinandali” churchkhela, and dried fruits. The estate also offers various dining options, with restaurants and cafes set against the backdrop of stunning landscapes, making it a perfect spot for wine lovers and food enthusiasts alike.
