In the heart of the oldest historically documented wine route, the Valle delle Ferle winery is located a short drive away from Caltagirone, along the road that connects Niscemi and Caltagirone which is around 50km to Vittoria DOCG region. Tenuta Valle delle Ferle is the winery that produces wines under Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG status, using top-class red vine varieties, such as Frappato and Nero d’Avola wine grapes

Respect for Nature Takes Full Priority at the Winery

At present, Claudia and Andrea own the Valle delle Ferle winery. With complete respect for nature, they produce high-quality red and rose wines, using traditional methods of viticulture of Caltagirone region. The vineyards of the winery are extended up to an area of 10 hectares, where the owners cultivate two unique grape varieties – Frappato and Nero D’Avola. Apart from wines, the winery also produces delicious grappa and extra virgin olive oils. Among various olive types, the prime variety the estate grows is TondaIblea, accounts for 500 plants, cultivated with organic farming methods.

At Valle delle Ferle, Wine is treated with Passion and Care

Surrounded by beautiful olive groves and rows of vines, the cellar is located in the heart of Tenuta Valle delle Ferle. Respecting the historical traditions, the cellar is now equipped with modern technologies of winemaking to produce unique, organic wines. Here soft pressing of the selected bunches takes place, followed by the fermentation in vats. Once the primary phases of wine production are completed, the wines are stored in the barrels for effective refining and maturation.
