Situated in Picedo di Polpenazze del Garda, among the gentle hills of Alta Valtenesi, the Bottarelli and Valerio winery is located halfway between the charming towns of Salò and Desenzano del Garda. Established in 1937, the company is a renowned producer of luscious wines and extra virgin olive oil.

A Winery for Three Generations

The history of Bottarelli Franco and Valerio began in the late 1930s when Giacomo, along with his brother Fabio, found Cantine Giacomo and Fabio Bottarelli. After the death of Giacomo in 1959, his two sons Franco and Valerio acquired the winery and changed its name and began the viticulture practices using both traditional and modern methods of farming. Today the third generation of the winemaking family is managing the administration of the winery. The vineyards are extended over an area of 15 hectares. Bottarelli Franco and Valerio grows a broad range of grapes on its cultivating land, including Groppello Gentile, Marzemino, Sangiovese, and Barbera, in combination with high-quality Riesling Italico and Chardonnay. The owners expanded the winemaking business by purchasing more land in the province of Desenzano del Garda where they cultivate unique Trebbiano di Lugana. At the estate, the staff produces a vast array of wines, which includes red, white, and sparkling wines, along with delicious rose and dessert wines, belonged to the DOC Garda Classico region.

Taste Delicious Grappas and Lemony Limoncello

In addition to wines, the estate also produces tasty extra virgin olive oil, a single variety Grappa, and the prestigious Limoncello del Garda under Garda and Lugana DOC status. Bottarelli Franco & Valerio also owns a Restaurant-Farm, a place where visitors are invited to taste the luscious wines and typical regional dishes made from local products. The restaurant at Bottarelli Franco & Valerio is well-furnished with panoramic views overlooking the picturesque landscape of the Lombardia region.
