Founded in 1989 by Paolo Leo, this winery honors a rich family tradition of winemaking while integrating modern techniques. Located just a short drive from the charming towns of San Donaci and Brindisi, Cantine Paolo Leo is a testament to the passion and dedication of its 15 employees, including the young winemaker Nicola Leo, who carries on the family legacy. Today, the wines crafted by the Leo family are celebrated not only in Italy but also around the world.
The vineyards of Cantine Paolo Leo thrive in the heart of Parco del Negroamaro, where respect for nature and biodiversity is paramount. The winery cultivates a diverse array of grape varieties, including Primitivo, Negroamaro, Salice Salentino, and both Primitivo and Negroamaro Rosé. Additionally, high-quality Fiano, Chardonnay, and Malvasia are grown alongside fruity Pinot Grigio, Susumaniello, Verdeca, and Minutolo.
The winery's modern cellar spans 1500 square meters and features an advanced winemaking system, including a barrel room with 500 French oak barrels, each with a capacity of 225 liters. The grapes are meticulously hand-selected to ensure only the finest bunches are pressed using a state-of-the-art soft pressing system, guaranteeing the highest quality wines.

Highly recommend Cantine Paololeo! We did a tasting and tour of their facility. Both the tasting room and winery are beautiful. Our guide was so informative about the process, wines, and agriculture. We especially enjoyed learning about the sustainability initiatives at Paololeo! The tasting was excellent as well with very high quality and delicious wines. We really enjoyed our experience and would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to learn more about Puglia’s delicious wines.

Me, my husband & two adult sons attended a tour & wine tasting with Paola. It was one of the best experiences so far! Paola was warm and informative. The production of wine is fascinating. This facility is immaculate with a strong emphasis on sustainability. AND, the wine was incredible - paired with some wonderful bites. I highly recommend!

Excellent wine...very interesting value for money for a wine that clearly matches the grape variety. Strawberries, raisins, and sweet spices on the nose, and extremely harmonious in the mouth. Highly recommended!
