Founded in 1930 by Giovanni Torello, Castello di Grillano has been a family-run winery for generations. The Torello Rovereto family has been dedicated to crafting high-quality wines since 1935. The estate features ancient cellars, lush vineyards, and a charming farmstead, creating a welcoming hamlet in Ovada. Under European Regulation 203/2012, the winery refrains from using pesticides and herbicides, focusing solely on organic practices. Today, Francesco oversees the winery, cultivating a diverse range of grapes, including Dolcetto, Barbera, Cortese, and Chardonnay. These varieties thrive in the Monferrato DOC and DOCG regions, producing wines that reflect the unique terroir and offer delightful aromas and flavors.
Castello di Grillano also features a beautifully decorated guesthouse, equipped with modern amenities. Guests can enjoy fully furnished bedrooms, private bathrooms, and a refreshing swimming pool.
