A Fusion of Tradition and Modern Winemaking
Welcome to Chabiant Winery
Chabiant Winery, nestled in the picturesque Ismayilli region of Azerbaijan, has been crafting wines since its establishment in 1982. After a significant renovation in 2010, the winery embraced modern techniques and equipment, leading to the launch of its new wine line in 2017. This brand quickly gained recognition, marking a shift from the Soviet-era practices that prioritized quantity over quality. Today, Chabiant focuses on producing high-quality wines, benefiting from the region's rich soil and favorable climate that nurture healthy, ripe grapes.
The Unique Terroir of Ismayilli
The Ismayilli region is renowned for its exceptional terroir, where Chabiant Winery cultivates grapes across 250 hectares. The vineyard features a mix of Caucasian and European grape varieties, allowing for diverse blends and pure varietals. With warm summer days and cool nights, the clay and loamy soil naturally sustains the vines without the need for artificial irrigation. The melting snow from the nearby Caucasus Mountains enriches the soil with essential minerals, contributing to the health of the grapes. At altitudes between 600 and 1000 meters, the vineyard is tended to using organic practices, ensuring a sustainable approach to winemaking.
