Corte Figaretto is a charming winery nestled in the renowned Valpolicella region, specifically in the picturesque Valpantena Valley, just north of Verona. The winery boasts vineyards with a southern exposure, ideal for producing exceptional red wines. With a profound passion for viticulture, the family has cultivated this land between Quinto and Poiano, managing 10 hectares of vineyards. The diverse soils and microclimates surrounding the winery contribute unique characteristics to each wine, making every bottle a true reflection of its origin.

Commitment to Sustainability

Sustainability is at the core of Corte Figaretto's philosophy, which is why they proudly participate in the Valpolicella RRR project: Reduce, Retrench, Respect. For years, the winery has eliminated herbicides and has implemented strict water and soil management practices. Their commitment to the environment is further demonstrated by their sustainable production certification. Notably, Corte Figaretto is the only winery in the Valpolicella region that employs a gravity vinification system, allowing grapes to break naturally during fermentation without the use of pumps, utilizing only spontaneous yeasts.

Ideal Growing Conditions

The vineyards benefit from a Mediterranean climate characterized by moderate rainfall and cool evening breezes from the Lessinia mountains. This climate creates significant temperature variations, which are essential for the grapes to ripen fully, enhancing their anthocyanin and polyphenolic content. The winery cultivates a variety of grapes, including Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, Molinara, Oseleta, and Croatina, to produce both red and white wines that reflect the natural terroir of Valpolicella.
