Exceptional Wines from Old Vines in Languedoc-Roussillon
Welcome to Domaine Jorel
Located on the western edge of the upper Agly Valley in Roussillon, Domaine Jorel is the creation of Manuel Jorel, who began his winemaking journey by acquiring parcels of land with ancient Macabeu vines. Over the years, he expanded the vineyards to include Grenache, Carignan, Malvosie, Mourvèdre, and Muscat d’Alexandrie. Today, Domaine Jorel cultivates 14 different grape varieties, with some vines exceeding 60 years in age.
The Unique Terroir of Domaine Jorel
Domaine Jorel's vineyards sit at the intersection of two continents, Africa and Europe. This unique geological history contributes to the rich diversity of the terroir. Spanning seven hectares, the vineyards are tended to with care, using manual labor for all vineyard activities. The winemaking process occurs in a cellar located beneath the family home, west of Maury. Committed to organic practices, the team at Domaine Jorel believes in minimal intervention both in the vineyard and the cellar.
