French Wines at their Finest
The Winery
La Casenove, a very old wine-growing property of 30 hectares in one piece, is located 15 km south of Perpignan, very close to the Mediterranean and on the first slopes of the Aspres.
Wines of Domaine La Casenove
The grape varieties are historically linked to this southern region and over time have demonstrated their perfect suitability for this terroir. The clay soils mixed with, in discontinuous veins, pebbles from torrents give generous, powerful, and fleshy red wines with firm but coated tannins.
The heterogeneity of the plots requires very strict selection at harvest time, which is done manually after tasting the berries.
The diversity of grape varieties, as well as the age difference between the vines, allows and obliges the production of several wines.
We are not an official organic vineyard, but: we take care of our earth, vineyards, and wines. Without pesticides and all the work in the vineyard, like the harvest for example, is made by Hand, without chemical products

We stopped there randomly and had a great discovery. Welcomed directly at the house by a lovely couple. Tasting on the terrace, great wines, great place... We will come back but not by chance 😉

Etienne was a brilliant host and I strongly recommend visiting his vineyard. The wines were excellent quality. We had interesting conversations and learnt a lot. We felt incredibly welcomed. We have thoroughly enjoyed the visit and hope to come back when we’re next back in the region. 10/10!!
