Visit the Winery for new Learning Experiences
The farm is not only based entirely on history but also on the smell of the soil, tired hands, and of the grapevines. The people and guests who visit their estate help them to renew the story of their wine farm every day. It gives them a chance to learn more and get new experiences. The Petriolo farm is on the hills of Rignano Valdarno, with ancient villages and old vineyards that show their strong relationship with nature and the environment. The vines are at 300 meters above sea level and grow on clayey and calcareous soil.
Tuscan and International Grape Varieties
Tuscan and international grapes like Sangiovese, Caniolo, Colorino, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot grow here. The staff has immense skill and manually pick the best grapes. These grapes go into the production of their regional red, and dessert wines. The wine cellar has the perfect blend of local architecture, modern structure, and technology.
Fattoria Petriolo is one of the five wineries that are partners of the INNOYEAST project.
The winery aims to preserve the wines based on their authenticity by selecting autochthonous yeasts from various European wine regions.
