A Rich Heritage of Winemaking

Montau De Sadurní is nestled in one of the oldest documented buildings in Begues, with family roots tracing back to the 1530s. This deep connection to the land is evident in the family tree, which may even extend to the Neolithic Age, as suggested by archaeological findings in the nearby Cova de Can Sadurní. The unique climate and location of the vineyards create ideal conditions for growing ripe, juicy grapes. The estate beautifully blends tradition with innovation, resulting in the exceptional wines of Montau De Sadurní, crafted from premium grapes cultivated with care.

Wine and Culinary Delights

Adjacent to the vineyards is El Celler d’en Sadurní, a restaurant that offers a thoughtfully curated menu featuring both traditional and contemporary dishes. Guests can savor grilled meats, succulent lamb, fresh salads, and seasonal cod recipes, all prepared with locally sourced ingredients. To enhance your dining experience, a selection of wines is available, and the knowledgeable staff is eager to assist with perfect pairings. The restaurant can accommodate larger gatherings, making it an excellent choice for events of up to 80 guests.

We enjoyed it very much. First we visited the vineyards, the cellar and the cava, followed by a wine and cava tasting. Xavi was a great guide, everything was very interesting and well explained. Then we had lunch, time for calçotadas, quality, good service and a lot of kindness. We had a very good day.

Very nice and interesting family cellars to visit both as a family and as a couple. The explanations of the wine and cava process are very entertaining and interesting. They also have a restaurant if you want to stay to eat, grilled meats, salads, etc., all very good. It is a place where you can spend a very pleasant day very close to Barcelona

We went because they gave us a VIP Box for a visit and a tasting and we also reserved an aperitif at the restaurant and finally we also stayed to eat. The place is beautiful, old, full of history. When Xavi, the guide, told us the history of the place, in his words we could see the commitment and dedication he has in what he does at the winery. Everything we ate and drank was of excellent quality. Highly recommended!!

We went to the cellars because they gave us a Wonderbox and, based on the opinions, it looked very good, and we were absolutely right! Upon arrival, we were greeted by Jordi, who gave us a tour of the farmhouse. We took a tour of the vineyards and then visited the inside of the cellar, where they explained the production system to us. At the end of the entire tour (a little more than 1 hour), we tasted two wines, one white and one red, both very good. In addition, they accompanied them with some cookies and some olives. The boy was very nice and familiar; He explained everything very understandably and answered all your questions. When the tasting was over, you could stay to eat in the restaurant; In our case, with the check we got an aperitif. The appetizer was very filling: it had a small plate with cheese, a board with cold cuts, a potato omelet with a little lettuce and a tomato salad with cheese; everything was very good. To top it off, we ordered a portion of calçots, which were large and very tender. At the end, as indicated on the check, they gave us a bottle of white wine and a bottle of cava. Without a doubt, we would repeat the experience in the same place, both for the quality and the treatment.

They are a small, family-run wine cellar, dedicated above all to cava and with a history dating back to 1530. They also have a very nice restaurant, but we had a bad experience along with other people, the service was very slow and some dishes were terrible, this does not rule out the fact that some were good, the conclusion is that it is a disaster for being a family business.

We did a guided tour and a tasting on Saturday. Xavi was the charming and very friendly guide. The winery was very cool and the wine and cava we tried were delicious! It was hard to get there because Google Maps doesn't give you good directions. Once there, everything was perfect.
