High-Quality Wines

Founded in 1996 by Pia Pagani de Marchi, originally from Lugano, Switzerland, Pagani de Marchi winery is nestled in the heart of Tuscany. Pia transformed her holiday home, purchased in the 1980s, into a vineyard dedicated to producing high-quality wines. Initially, the winery focused on two varieties: a pure Sangiovese and a Bordeaux blend. Over the years, the selection has grown, with new blends introduced in 2004 and a refreshing Vermentino white wine added in 2009.

Winery Philosophy

The philosophy at Pagani de Marchi centers on crafting wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region. With just 6 hectares of vineyards, the winery employs artisanal methods both in the vineyard and the cellar, ensuring meticulous attention to detail.

The Estates

Interestingly, the vineyard is home to an archaeological site that hints at a long history of winemaking dating back over 2,500 years to the Etruscan era. An Etruscan tomb discovered on the property belonged to a "Warrior Prince," complete with wine tools, suggesting a deep appreciation for fine wine in ancient times. This historical backdrop adds a unique charm to the winery, as the land continues to yield exceptional grapes through sustainable practices. In 2009, the winery adopted organic management, enhancing the natural flavors of the wines. In 2021, Pia passed the reins to her son Matteo, who is committed to upholding the family legacy of producing exquisite wines while honoring their deep-rooted connection to the land.

We went there to buy white wine. Friendly local winegrower couple, good Vermentino. It's worth a visit. You can also book tours and tastings there.

Excellent wines in a rural context, accompanied by the kindness of the staff. The bottles cost the right amount for the good product they contain. The classic small cellar waiting to be discovered

Beautiful Tuscan reality in the hills a few km from the coast. Producers of high quality wine and oil, they also have the possibility of renting a villa with swimming pool.
