The Russo Siciliano Distillery, Modern Production Techniques at Their Best

The Russo Siciliano distillery situates on a pleasant and rolling hill, at the foot of Mount Etna. It stands close to the mesmerizing Ionian coast, in the hamlet of Santa Venerina, in the province of Catania. At present, two brothers – Salvatore and Giuseppe own the distillery. Their children have also brought significant innovations to the family business by cropping up a new distillation plant. Here, the family uses modern methods of distillation.

A Distillery with a Great Understanding of the Craft

The history of Russo Siciliano dates back to 1870. Over centuries, with passion and dedication, the Russo family is distilling luscious grapes and marcs, along with many additional products. These include the distillation of Grappa, Brandy, and Amari, in combination with typical liqueurs, artisan Rosoli, and liqueur creams. The Russo family believes in enhancing the aromas that surround the region and thus guarantees in providing high-end quality spirits. The products of Russo Siciliano have also won many Silver and Gold medals all over the world.

Exceptional Grappas Made from Local Grape Varieties

At Russo Siciliano, the owners distill various grape varieties including Grappa Nero d’Avola, Grappa dell’ Etna, Grappa Moscato di Pantelleria, and Grappa di Syrah. They use traditional methods for the cultivation and harvesting phases of citrus fruits, herbs, and various other fruits. Russo Siciliano is the only prominent distillery of Grappa, Brandy, Amari, and many more liqueurs in eastern Sicily.
