Tenuta Soletta: A Hidden Gem in Sardinia

Located just outside Sassari, Tenuta Soletta Winery is nestled in the picturesque landscapes of Sardinia. Owned by Umberto and his wife Caterina, this family-run estate is dedicated to producing high-quality grapes and olives while honoring the environment. After completing his oenological studies, Umberto committed himself to the family business, taking over in the mid-1990s and replanting several vineyards. Despite its relatively short history, Tenuta Soletta's wine production takes place in a centuries-old cellar, where Umberto has been cultivating vineyards since childhood, crafting wines from grapes he has grown himself.

Winemaking with a Focus on Terroir

The estate spans approximately 16 hectares, where Umberto cultivates a diverse selection of grapes. He focuses on high-quality varieties such as Vermentino, Cannonau, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Moscato. With passion and dedication, he produces exceptional red wines, including Carignano di Sulcis DOC and Cannonau di Sardegna DOC. In addition to reds, Tenuta Soletta offers a range of white, rosé, and dessert wines, showcasing the unique flavors of the Sardinian terroir.
