Tenuta Soletta, a Winery on the Most Beautiful European Island

In the outer area of Sassari, the Tenuta Soletta Winery resides on the Island of Sardinia. In the surrounding landscapes of the winery, Umberto, the owner of the estate, along with his wife – Caterina, produces high-quality grapes and olives with love and respect for nature. After completing his oenological studies, Umberto dedicated himself full time to the family winemaking business to keep the traditions alive. In the mid-1990s, Umberto took over the winery and established Tenute Soletta, along with the replanting of several vineyards. Although the Tenute Soletta Winery has a short history in winemaking, all the wine production processes are carried out in the centuries-old cellar. Even at the tender age of five, Umberto cultivated the vineyards, along with his father and today he makes wines from his own grown grapes.

Winemaking in Respect of the Terroir

The charming vineyards are stretched over an area of approximately 16 hectares, on which Umberto grows a broad array of grapes. Respecting the earth and its terroirs, he cultivates high-quality Vermentino, Cannonau, and Cabernet S., along with and Moscato. With great pride and passion, he produces rich-quality red wines, such as Carignano di Sulcis DOC and Cannonau di Sardegna DOC. Along with reds, the estate delivers top-class white, rose, and dessert wines.

For their guests, Tenuta Soletta also comprises of a wine resort. It consists of three bedrooms with large verandas, overlooking the beauty of the charming countryside. Some other modern facilities the winery offers are such as a pool to relax with a glass of wine in hand, a cosy show room, and a large open-plan kitchen to organize events and tastings.
