Viña Memorias is a family-owned winery nestled on a picturesque slope in the Land of Bobal, situated at an elevation of 600-900 meters above sea level. The estate, surrounded by its vineyards, offers stunning views of the natural landscape. Spanning 34,000 hectares, the vineyards thrive in calcareous clay soils, benefiting from a unique blend of Mediterranean and Continental climates that allow for organic farming without the use of pesticides or herbicides.

The refreshing Mediterranean breezes cool the nights, while warm winds from La Mancha help dry the vines.

The Heart of Red Wine Production

The vineyards primarily feature Bobal, the star grape variety of Utiel-Requena, which accounts for over 80% of the winery's production. Tempranillo follows as the second most cultivated grape, with additional varieties including Macabeo, Sauvignon Blanc, and Merseguera. With an average vine age of over 65 years, the vineyards are meticulously cared for by skilled winegrowers. All wines produced at Viña Memorias adhere to strict Kosher certification, preserving family heritage while shaping the modern narrative of Utiel-Requena DOP wines.

At Viña Memorias, the creation of single varietal wines begins with dedicated farmers who focus on every detail, blending traditional methods with modern technology to ensure the highest quality. The experienced winemaker crafts wines that reflect the unique terroir and a rich history of 2700 years. Wines are aged in both clay amphora jars and oak barrels. The winery's inaugural vintage was dedicated to Rabbi Moshe ben Maimon, known as RAMBAM, a prominent figure in Medieval Spain who advocated for moderate wine consumption to promote health.
