Immich-Anker – A Family-Owned Winery in the Mosel Valley

Nestled in a stunning neo-Gothic villa, Weingut & Sekthaus Immich-Anker is a cherished family-owned winery in the picturesque Mosel Valley. With a winemaking tradition that dates back to 1425, this estate has gained international recognition for its exceptional wines. In addition to their renowned white wines, Immich-Anker also crafts exquisite sparkling and dessert wines, aged in large barrels and barriques, ensuring a rich flavor profile that reflects the region's unique terroir.

Classic Mosel Riesling: The Winery's Signature Wine

The Immich family's winemaking legacy began in 1425, with Heinrich Philipp Immich establishing the winery in the late 19th century. Today, the estate is celebrated for its classic Mosel Riesling, a true representation of the region's winemaking heritage. Daniel S. Immich, the current owner, continues this tradition, producing wines that showcase the distinct characteristics of the Mosel Valley. The winery also operates a well-stocked wine shop in Potsdam and collaborates with Mitscher and Caspary in Berlin-Mitte.

Riesling Cultivated on 3.3 Hectares

Daniel's vineyards span 3.3 hectares, where he meticulously cultivates high-quality Riesling grapes. Each grape is handpicked and transported to the winery for gentle pressing and fermentation in stainless steel tanks, ensuring that the wine retains its vibrant aromas. The winery combines modern technology with traditional methods, utilizing a photovoltaic system for pressing, pumping, and bottling, which minimizes environmental impact.

In addition to its exceptional wines, Immich-Anker offers a charming bed and breakfast with stunning views of the vineyards. Guests can choose from well-appointed rooms for two to four people, or opt for a unique stay in a magnificent 115-year-old tower apartment, perfect for a memorable getaway in the heart of the Mosel Valley.

This a friendly, accessible winery with delicious Riesling of all degrees of dryness. They are a many generation winery and you get both a sense of the deep history and have the benefit of a stylish modern tasting room. The proprietor speaks perfect English in addition to German. The wines were excellent, diverse and their ability to educate with visual aides was the best I've seen. Make sure to book your visit in advance.

I was with a group at the wine bar, they gave us a little explanation and we moved on to the tasting... Omg! These wines are of HIGH quality (we bought several bottles of course) and the most incredible thing is that their prices are affordable.

We had a very interesting tour of the wine cellar followed by a wine tasting. Very nice people were happy to share their experiences. What it was like to be a winemaker in the past and what it is like today. The whole package for €19 was reasonable. You can also buy wine here, of course. If you order a large amount, everything will be sent to your home. Thank you again and good luck in the future.

The favourite vineyard of my wife and I. Daniel and his family are lovely people who have taught us so much about wine--we've had 250 bottles already, and we look forward to the next trip!
