This pre-phylloxera vineyard plot is more than 150 years old. Endowed with sandy soils, the vines resisted against Phylloxera, an insect that destroyed the European vineyard at the end of the 19th century. The owners, winegrowers going back generations, protected this parcel and preserved the ancestral and cultural methods that no longer exist today.

This plot has been listed as a Historical Monument since 2012 and is a testament to the biodiversity of the Pyrenean foothills.

After discovering the secrets of this exceptional parcel, their guide will escort you to the Saint-Mont Monastery for a commented tasting of three confidential wines discovered through Plaimont’s ampelographic research (science that studies vines and grape varieties). Amongst theses wines, you will get the rare chance of tasting a unique wine produced by pre-phylloxera vines ; this wine represents a genuine symbol of Saint Mont’s exceptional genetic heritage.

1 ½ hour guided tour available in French, English and Spanish, by booking only.
