Step into a living piece of history with a visit to this pre-phylloxera vineyard, over 150 years old. Nestled in sandy soils, these resilient vines survived the devastating Phylloxera crisis that ravaged European vineyards in the late 19th century. The dedicated owners, who have been winegrowers for generations, have safeguarded this unique parcel, preserving traditional methods that have largely vanished.

Designated as a Historical Monument since 2012, this vineyard showcases the rich biodiversity of the Pyrenean foothills, making it a must-see for wine enthusiasts and history buffs alike.

During your visit, a knowledgeable guide will lead you to the Saint-Mont Monastery, where you will enjoy a tasting of three exclusive wines, each a product of Plaimont’s extensive ampelographic research. Among these selections, you will have the rare opportunity to sample a wine crafted from pre-phylloxera vines, a true representation of Saint Mont’s remarkable genetic heritage.

This 1 ½ hour guided tour is available in French, English, and Spanish, and requires advance booking. Don’t miss the chance to experience the rich history and exceptional wines at Domaine Plaimont.

It's a good winery; it loads quickly, but sometimes you have to wait more than an hour for documents. There are showers and restrooms. The staff is friendly, and you can park on site. There's a company shop with tastings nearby. Have a good day.

Good evening, We would like to thank you for your professionalism and kindness. This moment was magical and very pleasant!!! Be it the wine tastings and the explanations, but above all the highlight: the art gallery, a well-hidden treasure that transports us into a universe full of emotions. Finally, I would like to conclude by saying that art lies in the making of a good wine, that art is perfectly identified with this tasting, that art is born from passion ... I strongly recommend that you come and have a good time at this wine tasting in Plaimont because it is a pleasure and a great discovery!

Thanks to Olivier DABADIE for this visit “from the vineyard to the cellar” really very interesting and rich in knowledge. The Plaimont cooperative is rich in a magnificent terroir, an exceptional know-how and above all 400 committed and passionate winemakers who transmit during these visits the love for their profession but also for truly exceptional wines. Thank you all for your welcome on December 31st. Happy New Year 2025 to you and your loved ones.
