Relax and unwind in the scenic countryside just outside Bologna with a unique wine experience at Casa Piana.
The “Experience Monteveglio” begins with a pleasant guided tour of our winery, where you’ll discover the secrets and passion behind the crafting of our wines. As you move through the cellar, we’ll share insights into our production methods and the philosophy that guides our work.
Following the tour, you’ll enjoy an extended tasting featuring six of our most representative labels, each telling a different part of our story. You’ll begin with Vamolà, a Metodo Classico Brut sparkling wine aged for 24 months, made from Trebbiano Modenese grapes, refined and elegant. Next is Piràt, a distinctive white wine refermented in the bottle, born from a blend of Pignoletto, Trebbiano Modenese, and Alionza, offering depth and character.
The journey continues with Bianco Piana Greghetto dell’Emilia IGT, a still white wine from Pignoletto grapes that expresses the identity of our land, followed by C’era una Volta, a white wine with a short maceration of Pignoletto, Trebbiano Modenese, and Alionza, giving it structure and aromatic complexity. You’ll then taste Ramato, a rosé made from Barbera grapes, fresh and vibrant, before concluding with I Calanchi, a red wine from Barbera dei Colli Bolognesi DOC, known for its richness and smooth, balanced finish.
The tasting is accompanied by a selection of local specialties, including a board of tigelle, cured meats, and typical cheeses from our region, along with honey produced directly from our own hives—carefully chosen to enhance each wine and create a truly authentic experience.
