Bizios Estate, a Boutique Family-Run Winery

Surrounded by Nemea’s unspoiled nature, the Bizios Estate is located in the mountainous village of Asprokambos. Overlooking the vineyards and Mount Ziria, the winery today produces 25,000 bottles of wines per year, with a capacity of 80,000 liters. Keeping the traditions alive, the vines of Bizios Winery are the true expression of the fertile terroir in which they are grown.

Bizios Estate has been working with organic practices since 2000.

The Winery’s First Vintage Using Indigenous Grape Varieties

Bizios Estate is the result of the hard work of Elias Bizios, a second-generation winemaker, and his passion and dedication towards vines and wines. Established in 1998, the winery produced its first vintage using only indigenous grape varieties. Later, he adopted organic practices in 2000, and the following years won many awards for his best quality vintages. In 2008, he extended the business and built the estate premises. The owner has an incredible focus on delivering one of the best wines in Nemea PDO and PGI regions.

Agiorgitiko, Reigns Supreme

With full respect for the surrounding ecosystem, the vineyards are cultivated with a wide array of grapes, Agiorgitiko being the flagship variety. The night breezes, the adequate rainfall, and mineral-rich soil are factors shaping the characteristics of the vines. Some other grape varieties include Chardonnay, Malagouzia, Moschofilero, and Cabernet Sauvignon.

The Bizios Winery, in the fine appellation of Nemea, has a modern wine cellar equipped with the latest machinery. The estate vintages are stored beautifully in the lined-up oak barrels and steel tanks for aging and refining.
