Generations of Vineyard and Olive Grove Care

For generations, the family behind Cantina Berritta has lovingly cultivated vineyards and olive groves in the picturesque Dorgali countryside. Spanning approximately ten hectares, the vineyards thrive alongside three hectares of flourishing olive trees in the scenic Oddoene Valley. This valley has been instrumental in Sardinia's agricultural revival since World War II, thanks to its rich soil composed of decomposed granite and limestone. The region's unique microclimate creates ideal conditions for growing high-quality grapes.

Organic Wines from Cantina Berritta

At Cantina Berritta, traditional winemaking techniques and sustainable practices are at the heart of their philosophy. The winery is committed to organic farming, a dedication reflected in their organic certification, which has been in place since the 2019 vintage. Currently, they produce eight distinct wine varieties, with an annual output of around 30,000 bottles. Looking ahead, Cantina Berritta aims to expand its vineyard to approximately twenty hectares, maximizing the potential of this fertile land.

Wine and Heritage in the Oddoene Valley

Each glass of Cantina Berritta wine tells a story of dedication and respect for the land. The unique climate and soil of the Oddoene Valley contribute to the creation of exceptional wines, including the classic Cannonau di Sardegna DOC, the rare Panzale white grape, and Syrah, an international variety that showcases its bold character in this region.

Visitors can enjoy tasting experiences that highlight the rich terroir and the fruits of the vineyard. Each sip offers a glimpse into the heritage and craftsmanship that define Cantina Berritta's wines.

Great experience! They have a whole selection of wines to try, by glass or bottle. Prices are really good and our waitress was friendly and had good english to explain the wines. A bonus, they serve wine from early in the morning. We went for 2 glasses, ended up buying 2 bottles and a 5liter box.
