Located in the picturesque Casentino Valley of Tuscany, Cantina Fregnan is a family-owned winery with a rich history dating back to the 20th century. Under the guidance of Roberto Fegnan, the winery focuses on crafting exceptional sparkling wines from single grape varieties, showcasing the unique terroir of the region.

Pioneering Metodo Classico in Tuscany

Founded in 2009, Cantina Fregnan made history as the first winery in its province to produce Metodo Classico, a prestigious sparkling wine. Inspired by the natural beauty of the Casentinese forests, Roberto planted the Vigna del Patriota vineyard in the rolling hills of Poppi. With a shared passion for winemaking, Roberto and Maria Grazia have cultivated a project that now offers a range of delightful sparkling and red wines under IGT labels.

Organic Italian Wines

In 2013, Roberto expanded his vineyards to include native Italian grape varieties, planting approximately 7,000 Chardonnay and 3,000 Pinot Noir vines. Although Cantina Fregnan embraced organic farming from the start, it received official organic certification in 2018. The vineyards also feature high-quality grapes such as Ciliegiolo, Foglia Tonda, Sangiovese, and Pugnitello. The winery's cellar, constructed using local vineyard stones, combines traditional and modern winemaking techniques to produce outstanding Metodo Classico and IGT wines, which are aged in French oak barrels for optimal refinement.
