Taste wines of Nero di Troia vine, brought to Daunia by Diomede, the hero of the Trojan war.
Since three generations, the Paradiso family has been cultivating vines in Apulia, a land of ancient winemaking traditions. In 1954 Angelo Paradiso built his first winery in Cerignola, in the heart of Daunia.
In the following years, his four sons improved and enlarged the winery, acquired new land and expanded the business.
Today Angelo, the founder's grandson, continues the work begun more than sixty years ago: he is given the care of the family estates, all in the countryside of Cerignola, and the selection of wines to be produced from year to year.
Cerignola is located in the Tavoliere delle Puglie.
The soils are characterised by the high presence of limestone and good drainage capacity.
The climate is temperate in winter, with good rainfall and rarely snowfall, but very hot in summer: between July and August, temperatures easily exceed 40°C and rainfall is rare. Vines have always been grown in these climates and at these latitudes.
It is said that Nero di Troia, the indigenous grape variety par excellence, was brought to Daunia by Diomedes, the Achaean hero of the Trojan War.
Indigenous grapes such as Nero di Troia, Primitivo and Negroamaro are mainly cultivated here.
In more than sixty years of history, Paradiso family has always given the highest importance to its belonging to this unique land, by enhancing the enological culture of the territory and by constantly improving the quality of its production.
The fil rouge that guides Angelo Paradiso's production can be easily summarized in one word: Pleasure.
We are committed to produce wine that always ensure a pleasant tasting experience as well as a typical Apulian experience.
