Cantine Paulis Winery, an Ancient Winemaking Cooperative
Cantine Paulis Winery is the new branding of Cantina Sociale di Monserrato, the oldest wine cooperative in Sardinia. In the last few years, the winery has put a lot of effort into renewing its list of wines and using innovative techniques to produce high-quality wines. Their main aim is to offer traditional and unique Sardinian wines to the locals and international markets.
A Leading Winery in Sardinia
Cantina Paulis has a long history and deep roots in the wine business. For more than 90 years, the winery has seen many family members, including the elders, young ones, and even children, take part in the winemaking process. This cooperative was one of the first wineries in Sardinia and Italy. They wanted to impact the wine culture and allow people to get close to each other. They understand their customers’ needs and want to offer them wines with a unique aroma, flavor, and appeal.
The winemakers at Cantine Paulis work hard to make high-quality, modern wines, presented in a new type of packaging that carries a distinctive style.
The Great Terroir of Cantine Paulis
Their vineyards are spread over an area of 450 hectares in some of the best regions of Sardinia. Favorable conditions, paired with excellent techniques and methods, leads to the growth of ideal grapes. Cannonau, Nuragus, Monica, Nasco, Moscato, and Vermentino are the main varieties grown. The best grapes go into producing their famous red, white, sparkling, and dessert wines.
