Carobbio: A Fusion of Tradition and Innovation

Located in the picturesque Panzano’s Golden Valley in Chianti, Carobbio winery is nestled between Siena and Florence, surrounded by lush olive groves, verdant forests, and historic vineyards. Carlo Novarese, driven by his passion for this enchanting land, began restoring the estate's vineyards, land, and cellar nearly thirty years ago. Since acquiring the property in 1985, Carlo has transformed it from a simple farmhouse into a thriving winery that marries time-honored traditions with modern viticultural techniques.

The Novarese family continues this legacy, expanding the vineyards to produce exceptional wines, including Chianti Classico and Super Tuscans.

Prime Vineyard Location

The vineyards at Carobbio benefit from an ideal location, surrounded by hills that help retain the sun's warmth. The unique Alberese and Galestro soils contribute to the production of aromatic and elegant wines. Each vine receives meticulous care from the dedicated staff, employing advanced farming methods to ensure low yields of high-quality grapes. The estate cultivates local varietals such as Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Blanc, Malvasia, and Trebbiano.

Wines that Showcase Chianti Terroir

Harvesting is done by hand, selecting only the finest grapes for their red, white, rosé, and dessert wines. The wines undergo an extensive maturation process in Slavonian oak barrels, followed by aging in the bottle, resulting in exceptional quality. Each bottle reflects the dedication of the Carobbio team and the distinctive characteristics of the renowned Chianti terroir.
