The Cennatoio winery is owned by Leandro and Gabrielle Alessi who have been running the farm since 1970. Everyone who visits the farm describes it as absolutely beautiful to see thanks to the breathtaking Chianti landscape, rolling hills covered in endless vineyards and olive groves, traditional church buildings, castles, and sprawling oak woods. The stony soil of the area as well as the hot sun felt during the daylight hours make the area perfect for the growing of Sangiovese Grosso, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot vines which strong flavors and lingering aromas of berries.

The award-winning and prized vineyards at Cennatoio are interspersed with olive trees and cover a total of 10 hectares of land on the border between Florence and Siena.

The winemakers at Cennatoio have a passion for nature and the natural environment on which the winery stands and their wines are an ode to this. For years, the winery has exclusively made use of only natural fertilizers to promote the perfection of the wines and also to protect the surrounding flora and fauna. Cennatoio is a certified organic company and one of its greatest assets is the incredible cellar which houses traditional oak barrels for over 300 hectolitres of Barriques and Tonneaux French.
