Cennatoio – Winery with Breathtaking Chianti Landscape

The Cennatoio winery is owned by Leandro and Gabrielle Alessi who have been running the farm since 1970. Everyone who visits the farm describes it as absolutely beautiful to see thanks to the breath taking Chianti landscape, rolling hills covered in endless vineyards and olive groves, traditional church buildings, castles and sprawling oak woods. The stony soil of the area as well as the hot sun felt during the daylight hours make the area perfect for the growing of Sangiovese Grosso, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot vines which strong flavours and lingering aromas of berries.

The award winning and prized vineyards at Cennatoio are interspersed with olive trees and cover a total of 10 hectares of land on the border between Florence and Siena.

Winery Using Ony Natural Fertilizer

The wine makers at Cennatoio have a passion for nature and the natural environment on which the winery stands and their wines are an ode to this. For years, the winery has exclusively made use of only natural fertilizers to promote the perfection of the wines and also to protect the surrounding flora and fauna. Cennatoio is a certified organic company and one of its greatest assets is the incredible cellar which houses traditional oak barrels for over 300 hectolitres of Barriques and Tonneaux French.

The Most Exquisite Wineries in the Region.

The wine making process of the winery makes sure that the best of the wine making traditions are maintained and respected while not overlooking the latest in oenological techniques. It can clearly be said that the land, the ancient wine making history of the region, the modern art or wine making and human dedication have contributed to Cennatoio being one of the most exquisite wineries in the region.
