Committed to Biodynamic Practices Since 2018

Nestled in the picturesque Hérault valley, Domaine l’Aiguelière is a family-owned winery with a rich history spanning six generations. Located on the renowned Montpeyroux terroir, the estate encompasses 18 hectares of vineyards protected by the Larzac foothills, featuring eight unique geological sites. The winery adheres to organic farming practices, blending traditional methods with modern techniques to produce exceptional wines.

A Legacy Rooted in Roman History

The winemaking tradition in Montpeyroux dates back to the Roman era and flourished through the 15th century. The 17th and 18th centuries marked a golden age for wine culture in the region, leading to a significant increase in production during the 19th century. Since 1850, the Commeyras family has owned Domaine l’Aiguelière, with each generation contributing its own innovations and advancements in winemaking technology.

Diverse Vine Varietals for Unique Wines

In 2018, Domaine l’Aiguelière transitioned to organic viticulture, cultivating a diverse range of 22 grape varietals. The vineyard is home to high-quality Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvèdre, alongside Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Viognier. Each wine produced is labeled with AOC and IGP designations, ensuring the authenticity and quality of the varietals used.

Exceptional! Simple, spontaneous, authentic, "real" welcome. A rosé, the LISE will convert all those who think, like me, that we cannot make a good rosé or that it can only be made in Provence... Round, balanced, aromatic finish!👌 Really worth a taste👍👌

A very warm welcome, the winemaker did not hesitate to come and open the cellar for us. We discovered several red wine ranges that will satisfy all palates. A special mention goes to the rosé, which we really enjoyed.

Family owned winery. Excellent quality. Amaury has been extremely available and even allowed us to experience some of his older vintage Syrah. Certainly a good address for wine lovers.

Family owned winery in Montpeyroux. We did a tasting (no reservation needed) on Tuesday in the wine cellar, a little outside the village. Wines are great and affordable.

I loved this meeting as much for the wine as for the people who take care of the estate, I will be sure to tell those around me about it! I hope to have other opportunities to come there.
