Founded in 1985 by Tedo Gzirishvili, Tedo’s Marani began as a family project focused on producing wine for personal enjoyment. The winery emphasizes organic and traditional methods to create authentic Georgian wines. Utilizing the ancient qvevri technique alongside modern stainless steel fermentation, Tedo’s Marani offers a unique blend of heritage and innovation in winemaking.

Vineyards Nestled by the Iori River

The vineyards at Tedo’s Marani are home to endemic grape varieties native to the Kakheti region. With minimal intervention, the vines are nurtured using traditional practices to ensure the organic integrity of the wines. Located along the banks of the Iori River, the vineyards benefit from the refreshing breeze and alluvial soil, which contribute to the grapes' distinctive flavors and aromas.

Signature Wines of Tedo’s Marani

Tedo’s Marani cultivates a variety of grapes, including Saperavi, Rkatsiteli, Budeshuri Tsiteli, Mtsvane, Buera, and Tavkveri. The winery produces high-quality dry white wines from Rkatsiteli and Mtsvane, characterized by their dark straw color and vibrant clarity. These wines offer notes of apricot, yellow fruits, and caramel, balanced by pleasant acidity and a delicate finish. The dry red wine, crafted from Budeshuri Tsiteli, presents a medium body with elegant flavors of dried black plums, making it a delightful choice for wine enthusiasts.
