Terres De Vidalba was born in 2006 from scratch as a family project in Barranc de la Bruixa with the purpose of delivering exclusive top-quality wines, vintage after vintage.
using a mix of organic and biodynamic principles. Just an hour from Melbourne, the winery sits perfectly with stunning beaches, rolling green pastures, forests, and gently undulating hills with vineyards. The main objective of Sam is to produce drinkable, elegant wines expressing the individual strength of Australia’s wine region. The wines are produced under Polperro and Even Keel labels.

The wines are complex full of characters that reflects the unique region.

Terroir of Barranc de la Bruixa

The estate covers 11 hectares which was once an old farm occupied by forest. The estate has good east/southeast exposure with an optimal height of 430-480 meters above sea level that provides thermal integral day and night. The soil comprises slate with good drainage that allows deep rooting of the vines. The overall terroir is perfect for the slow maturation of fruits resulting in good acidity and freshness.

Top Quality Grapes

All the farm management from pruning to canopy management is overseen by the two generations to retain the integrity of each vineyard and season. The winery produces top-quality black Grenache, Syrah, Carignan and also White Grenache. They practice very respectful viticulture, working to achieve a good balance of the plants and taking care of the yields. The harvesting is done in small batches to assure only healthy and ripe grapes go into winemaking. Every small batch of harvest undergoes vinification separately which is a lot of work put pays well at the end.
