Wein Von 3: A Winery Founded by Three Passionate Growers

Established in 2012, Wein Von 3 is the brainchild of three dedicated wine growers who share a passion for winemaking. Nestled in a stunning baroque country estate in the heart of Franken, this winery focuses on traditional regional grape varieties. The team includes Heiko Niedermeyer, who holds a BA and MSc in Wine Management; Alexander von Halem, the knowledgeable tour guide and owner of the adjacent castle; and Christian Werr, the youngest member with a BSc in Viticulture. Together, they produce eight distinct wines and welcome visitors to their castle tasting room.

Wein Von 3 is committed to organic viticulture, ensuring that no herbicides or pesticides are used in their vineyards.

Natural Vineyards and Modern Winemaking Facilities

Wein Von 3 cultivates nearly four hectares of vineyards, emphasizing organic practices to maintain the health of their land. The winery began its journey in Stammheim, producing its first vintage in 2012 under the name ‘Weingut Baroqueschloss’ before rebranding to Wein Von 3 in 2013. In 2018, they expanded their operations by constructing a new winemaking facility, along with a tasting room and wine shop located within the castle.

Main Grape Varieties at Wein Von 3

The winery primarily grows Silvaner, Riesling, Bacchus, Kerner, Domina, and Pinot Noir. These high-quality grapes are the foundation for their acclaimed red, white, rosé, sparkling, and dessert wines. Each bottle reflects the unique characteristics of the Franken region, showcasing the dedication and craftsmanship of the winemaking team.
