The Unique Terroir of Southern France

The vineyard's soils consist of sandstone, Montpellier clays, and limestone gravels, often arranged in terraces. Renowned geology expert Claude Bourguignon collaborates with the winemakers at Château Capion to craft exceptional wines. The vineyard practices traditional methods, avoiding machinery to enhance grape selection and complexity. Varieties such as Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Cinsault are cultivated for red wines, while Viognier, Chardonnay, Roussanne, Clairette, and Grenache Blanc are grown for whites. With an average vineyard age of 30 years, the wines exhibit richness and complexity while maintaining vibrant fruit flavors.
