Domaine Lérys is a cherished family winery located in Villeneuve les Corbières, with a rich history dating back to 1861. Nestled in the Fitou appellation, one of the oldest AOC regions in Languedoc, the estate resumed winemaking in 1994 under the stewardship of the eighth generation, Alban Izard. Spanning 50 hectares, the winery embraces organic farming practices to cultivate four distinct AOCs: Rivesaltes, Corbières, Fitou, and Muscat de Rivesaltes. The family’s commitment to the land is evident in their respect for the soil, flora, fauna, and biodiversity, blending traditional methods with innovative techniques to create wines that are both flavorful and aromatic.

Situated in the picturesque South of France, between the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean Sea, Domaine Lérys benefits from a unique microclimate characterized by mild, humid winters and dry summers. The continuous winds and low annual rainfall contribute to the ideal conditions for organic viticulture. The estate's shale soil imparts natural vigor to the vines, allowing for the cultivation of healthy, fruity grapes. Key varietals include Syrah, Grenache, and Carignan. Most vineyard work is done by hand, with harvesting typically starting in September and lasting for 4 to 5 weeks. In the cellar, various vinification techniques are employed based on the wine type, with aging occurring in barrels or vats housed in stone buildings that provide natural thermal insulation. Each bottle reflects the family's passion for their vines and the environment.
