Evoi Wines is located in the center of the Margaret River region and is widely regarded as one of the finest boutique wineries in the area. This is the result of Nigel Ludlow’s dedication and willingness to making premium wines with traditional methods and clever intuition. He uses Burgundian and Bordeaux styles in his winemaking. Nigel started the winery in 2007 in his home garage and made two barrels of Chardonnay that received excellent reviews.

Evoi, Ecstatic Shouts from the Disciples of Bacchus

Nigel Ludlow is a unique Australian winemaker and operates the winery almost single-handedly. He is responsible for all the work in the vineyards, harvesting, aging, bottling, and the sales of the wines. The label’s name Evoi, comes from a Latin word that means “”ecstatic shouts from the disciples of Bacchus,”” the God of Wine.

The Best Grapes for the Cultivation of World-Class Red and White Wines

Nigel attained his diploma in Oenology and Viticulture from Lincoln University and has quite a lot of experience in winemaking after working in Hungary, South Africa, and Spain. He bought a small vineyard in the Willyabrup Region of Margaret River for the creation of his wines. The soil content and unique microclimate give the region great conditions for vine cultivation. The main grape varieties grown are Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Chardonnay, Cabernet, Malbec, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The best grapes out of the products go into the making of their world-class red and white wines. Evoi Wines is a 5-star rated winery by the James Halliday Wine Companion and has won many other prestigious awards for their wines.
